Simple question, are any of you lot going this year? If so how are you getting down there, where are you camping etc??

I'm heading down on the Thursday morning from Portsmouth at 7.15 aiming to be at Maison Blanche by mid afternoon.

Hope to see some of you at the PH meet on Friday

Bugger, think I've paid for a guided tour of the circuit that morning.

I'm getting there on the 7th of June though if anyone wants to hook up for a beer etc. Leaving on 14th.

Place I'm going is full of rich porsche drivers I think lol. I may stick out in my 'cheap' Elise I can see why though now that I'm looking at the full price of the package including ferry (1150 for 2 people =/)

I don't think I looked at the maths all that carefully before booking* Still hopefully it will prove worth it given that I'll have a nice room with ensuite bathroom, rather than a shit tent in a muddy field being woken up by 'The Ace of Spades' at 7am every morning or some tit revving the shit out of an engine sat on concrete blocks at 6am

*I think I cocked up and assumed the price per person was the total price for 2 people...

Will you be waking up in the Chateau to the dulcit tones of soft renaissance chamber music then Dan?

"The Ace of Spades" - hahaha, never been to Le Mans and didn't realise it was a headbangers ball! If I ever go I'll be sure to pack some Metallica and Sabbath!

If there is no renaissance chamber music I'll be demanding a refund. You can count on that!

Hmm just looked at the price list again. Clearly I did know how much it cost as its obvious. Wonder why I decided to spend so much though! I may have forgotten I needed to book the ferry separately I guess.

cuzza. be good if you can make the pre-le mans BBQ at mine. Will discuss routes but keep an eye out for us on the way down. I am sure that Mel has every intention of keeping to the speed limits with all these scare tactics re fines going around

S Works - photos are a given - will get them posted when I return.

Shnozz - bbq sounds like a plan once the car is packed - thinking about routes at the moment and considering taking an alternative one to avoid the gendarmes a bit and find something a bit twistier. Time for the WHS Atlas of France
