a610 heanor, wouod you believe it another speed change.
Discussion
Wife has just been down this road and informed me that the long sweeping curve before it goes to national limit is being set at 30 mph! Anyone else noticed this and or possible reasons. Apparently the nice stretch going into Connor is being left at 50 which to me makes even less sense, as not saying that OS in anyway a dangerous speed for the section, bit surely far worse than doing 60 down a straight with no houses of junction and then a soft long corner.
Guessing speed cameras will be used so be aware.

the reduced speed limit is in force because of the new Asda being built at Langley Mill, which has resulted in the road to the A610/A608 roundabout being closed if you were coming out of Langley Mill. Traffic is diverted up Dunstead Road to the A610, and the speed restriction is there to protect traffic coming in and out of the junction - obviously its dangerous if people are flying up and down the road at 60mph+ as the junction is busier then usual.
I didnt notice any cameras when we went through there yesterday.
Hope this helps,
Claire
