US TV ad makes us warm towards the Septic Tanks, if only briefly*

Yes it's cheesey, yes it's schmaltzy, and yes it's got a few seconds footage of the 638hp Corvette ZR1 letting it all hang out.

So here it is - the latest US TV ad spot for Chevrolet's 'redneck Ferrari'. (Or was that the Camaro Z28?)

And it's got space rockets, what's not to like?

I love the Zr1, saw the nice grey one at Wilton house and just think it's a fantastic car and I have lots of respect for anyone who chooses one instead of the usual (boring) 360/430/gallardo/911 etc.

Good grief what an ad, enough to have politicos projectile vomiting their coffee and doughnuts at facebook etc. Sorry if this ad causes people to cheer the good ol' US but they do some things right. For squeebm -I didn't see one F430 trash the Corvettes at Le Mans baby? They do go racing with a passion and the first service is due at 100,000 miles I understand. By which time your Ferrari has cost you how many £kkks? Go figure why the car still exists and sells!

Just like the Porsche 911 looks 40 years old...but I like the way the 911 looks. This commercial won't run long. The greenies and safety nannies will be all over this one. However, it's the first Corvette commercial I've seen in quite some time.

I think it's fantastic......always loved Corvettes and the new ones are top of my wish list.

I do however have a collection of white vests, plaid shirts and a pair of cowboy boots so that may explain it lol
