Rather than offering 'poor whites' support too, how about offering everyone the same and telling them it's tough st whether they're poor or black or not.

Schools are completely free in this country and whilst there may be some room for improvement, they're really not that bad. What more do they want from the working population!!! Sick of this 'poor me, what about me' culture, go and work for it.

The UK and its inhabitants have no identity now - immigrants still want to carry on their cultures and 'way of life' from their country of origin and 'indigenous' britons seem to want to distance themselves from the UK as much as possible. Its a country with no identity and slowly but surely will just become a transient society with no core values.

Living in Oz now its interesting how many aussies say they are 2nd or 3rd generation aussies. This means that their great grandparents might have been poms but their grandparent and parents are aussie born. This will become more prevalent in the UK as time progresses.

Its a shame as the UK is a great place to be but no one seems to recognise this. I may live in oz but am really looking forward to returning to the UK later in the year.
