Has Anybody Retro-Fitted Air Con to a Tamora

Hi,

Exactly as per the title really, my Tamora doesn't have air con unfortunately and I would like to fit it if possible. Just wondered if somebody has already done so before I start looking into it?

I know STR8SIX can do the job, not sure how much it would cost though...... and I guess a lot depends on if the parts are available.

Am I right in thinking that all of the necessary wiring isn't there in the standard loom?

Do you mind if I ask how much the bits from the breakers cost, PM if you prefer?

You mean the wiring is there.

£750 from breakers pot luck though that the parts they send you are servicable that's the dodgy bit

I'm half contemplating pulling mine out along with most of the interior for weight loss reasons. That said I'm also contemplating selling her for house reasons!

Remember that by removing these bits you'll reduce the saleability of your car (which according to your posts seems to be for sale/not for sale every few months ;0 ).

Haha I know what you mean I change my mind like the wind! I'm in the process of buying some land to build so the money will come in handy but not necessarily essential to sell. If I keep I want to gut the interior like GT3RS or 360CS and turn her into a monster track toy

The best improvement for the track would be some driver training (unless you're an ex racing driver??). Reducing weight by 25-50kg tops is just going to make the car less comfortable.

Am I the only one who uses the aircon on track days? Keeps things nice and fresh in the cabin when you are getting sweaty/greasy mitts

I used to be a professional motorcycle trials rider so I've got a good 'feel' for cars/bikes. Especially in the wet. I've also done a lot of track work. That said I believe you can always learn more and I've had a few tuition sessions too. A quick car does not make a quick driver!
