Favourite Le Mans Classic photo

Rather like the Le Mans photo competition, I thought it worthwhile to start a similar thread for the Classic. You are allowed to choose just one photo, racing, campsite or whatever, which to you captures the essence of this meeting. This is mine:-



7am at Indianapolis, the rising sun burnishing the flank (and the inside of the rear tyre) of the seminal works D-type that raced here in 1954,the trees reflected in the paintwork; the weight transfer evident from the near to offside as the nearside wheel nearly leaves the ground. Now show me yours!

Now that is wonderful. Also cool how the blue and yellow on the track is picked up on the gloves, wheels and sticker on the front

Relaxed beers surrounded by a hugh selection of classic cars, This was just after a number of cars departed and before a ruck of cars arrived at Beaumont for lunch.

We had a similar table in that bar at that exact moment - only we were sat the other side of the steps, it was great just sitting there with a rolling classic car show drifting past all day

it's hard to chose only one photo to represent this event!
it was in Arnage corner, the Howmet TX was being stopping for a technical problem! you can see the engine is always started!

Here's mine, taken through the fence, not trackside, at Dunlop. Two years ago all mine had the shadow of the wire on them, but I have learned a lot since then, with some help from the Photography section on Pistonheads. Taken on Canon 450D 55-250 4-5.6

Errr, nearly.... Had a camera set up on a small tripod but the remote shutte release was playing up so kept missing the lightning

I was driving when I seen this, it looked good .. i was going to stop and take a pic .. but did not have my good camera on me . Booo
