They work great until someone tts the wall with it and it snaps in half.

Mine stuns them and they fall on to the floor, play dead for a few seconds, shake their heads and fly off! Memo to self: step on them quickly!

Once you catch a fly & stun it with the swatter, try keeping your finger on the Zap button with the fly on the racket. The smell from cooked fly is quite horrendous, but the sparks from the cooking insect is an great way to impress any 4 year old.

Just don't touch the "strings" after you've charged the capacitor - my best mate can confirm it does give you a shock!!

It's been the best of my Christmas pressies. Although the midges up here are too small and therefore fit through the gaps in the wires.

Abso-freakin-lutely.

SWMBO bought one. Both of our kids adore the darned thing. Brings out their inner killer. It was quite entertaining to see my son (8 years old) standing by the back door saying "I've got one". Still had his finger on the trigger, and the fly was quietly smoking away .....

They certainly do give a nice little zap if you touch the wires! do it too many times in succession and you start to get a headache, which I assumed was natures way of telling me to stop being a tt hehe

We bought one of these a couple of weeks ago.

Worked pretty well with some batteries found in a drawer, whilst I charged up some GOOD batteries.

Fitted the charged batteries and wow what a difference!

Massive blue spark and a CRACK noise that you can hear upstairs when yet another fly meets his maker in the kitchen.

Bigger prey does indeed give off a very unique odour...

Might get one of these as they sound like fun, and when I get bored I can strip it down to a more concealable (sp?) size and have fun with house guests biggrin

We had great fun with these a few years ago at a BBQ.

Started with the usual just touching it

Moved on to putting it on your nose/ears/tongue etc.

I drew the line when my mate pulled his kegs down and sat on one bare bummed - someone then got to press the button, one of my mates sat on his lap just before the other pressed the button, lengthening the experience somewhat wink
