Telly lost HDMI inputs?

Hi, Our Sony Bravia decided last night that it didn't want to show any BluRay or Sky HD input 
Tried changing the HDMI cables over and it made no difference?
It would show the 1080/50 ident in the corner and then go blank.
Wierd thing is the scart connections work fine, so both sources must be working. Turned off the telly at the wall and it all came back - very strange.
Is it likely to be a "one off" or does anyone know of any issues?
