On BBC news just now they had a reporter outside the high court talking about the Peter Sutcliffe case. In the background there was a man on the 'phone, he walked right up until he was virtually standing behind the reporter.

Now it's not the first time I have seen him there, he was there during the BA stewards dispute and I've seen him on at least 2 other occasions.

He looks like Andy from the Little Britain Lou and Andy sketches.

Anyone else seen him?

Is he the one highlighted by Charlie Brooker on one of his programmes?

ETA.. you added a picture. And to answer my one question, yes!

If I had a face like a ball sac I'd avoid TV wherever possible.

On this subject, only yesterday I was bemoaning these brain-dead morons who mill around in the background of news shots and phone their pathetic kin to tell them to watch TV, then wave a pull stupid faces. Mostly it happens on council estates but it's becoming increasingly common everywhere.

He was picked up by Russell Howard on his BBC3 show too. Wonder if he has a job?

I've spotted him again today. Again BBC news, this time outside Kings Cross station. He may have thrown some off the scent though as he was wearing a different jumper lol!

There is a website with a load of stills from news programmes with this bloke standing in the background. I would post the link but I'm on my work laptop so can't access my history.

He is usually on the phone in the stills so he is either ringing his mum to tell her he is on telly - again, or to tell somebody to press 'record' on their Sky+ box.

He's usually wearing the same clothes which is either to make it easier to spot him or, more likely by the look of him, they're the only clothes he has.

Indeed, it's a fine line between nutter and genius. Knowing he has a logical agenda pushes him towards the latter.
