gearbox gone after 11 months

hey folks

just had it confirmed that my gearbox is about to pack up. this is a reconditioned gearbox and has only been in the car for 11 months. the gearbox was supplied and fitted by J&R mini specialist. the gearbox is still under warrenty but appantly the company have gone bust :@, but with gearbox's needing replaced in under 12 months its no suprise.

do any one you folk know where i could source a gearbox?? in scotland if possible??

What year car is it on? the pre facelift (pre august 2004 build) coopers and ones had Midland gearboxes that are known for being weak. Late 04 onwards cars had getrag gearboxes (same manufacturer as the s always had) - so may well be worth sourcing one of a 2004 onwards car - this if of course presuming they are interchangeable.
