Chaps,my old man phoned me tonight and wanted advice on p&s cameras.

Now, I know zilch about these at best, and the market is huge.Secondly, hs is no photographer.

He does a lot of ebay pics for Tool aid, a charity he helps out, so doesnt need anything silly.

He says budget is up to £150, but I cant see the need to spend that on a p&s surely ?

He currently is borrowing a G10 from my brother, but only uses auto mode, so got the hump when I suggested that was overkill for his requirements.

Any ideas ?

Sounds like a big gap between what he should get and what he wants if he likes the G10.

Like you said, if he'll only use auto you don't need to spend lots of dosh. Maybe go with him on the hunt to help him "focus"
Pun sort of intended. biggrin

Any Canon IXUS to fit the budget should be fine.

I just picked up a Canon A480 to slip in my pocket when I CBA to lug the DSLR.

Small, simple to use, and Argos are knocking them out @ £60.
