I was reminded of the years in my youth snuggled under the duvet with a crystal set listening to Allan Beswick on Red Rose Radio in the early hours of the morning.

Possibly NSFW so be very careful (no rude links of pictures just youtube audio with a bit of swearing), but gosh how I really miss radio like this;

There's a whole heap of Beswick stuff out there - I remember creeping downstairs in the middle of the night to try and call in to the show and desperately hoping it wouldn't wake my parents.

Siobhan O'Dowd has her legend, but Beswick will always be one of mine.

Beswick is still on the air, BBC Radio Manchester breakfast. A little less abrasive for the sake of it but still hugely entertaining. Alan was a legend on Red Rose, last words on air, " i always thought masturbation was a sin, now i know it's the I.B.A . ta ra!"
