Mine, when I'm in a hurry, is pressing the accelerator harder than it needs to reach the floor. When I realise I'm doing it I relax, but that realisation takes time.

In some cars during a blast I have felt the floor flex under the pedal I'm standing on it so hard. It doesn't matter what I'm driving either, I've driven some very quick cars that really don't need that unobtainable extra micron of pedal movement. It's ridiculous; absolutely ridiculous. I wish I didn't, but I do.

Some Fords I have driven have an 'extra' bit of throttle if you push down harder, or am I going mad?

On quiet motorways I try and line up my lane changes so as I don't hit any cats eyes.
Weird I know, but strangely satisfying when it works.

Moving left after overtaking on the motorway, and, get this, expecting others to do the same. I'm just a loony me wobble

Do you try to time your indicators to get whole flashes? You've just reminded me that I often do.

on a bend on a quiet road I try and guess the amount of steering lock needed for the whole corner, and see if I can hold the wheel at just that angle to get round. Harder than the catseye thing (which I also do)

After a long or progressive drive (going very quick), the dashboard gets a thank you pat on the back.
Seriously, doing things like missing cats eyes on motorways. I do that everyday.

+1. There's an uphill 2 lane right hander on the road for work and, if you just it just right and there's nothing in L2, you can do the progressive lock thing and miss BOTH sets of cats eyes. Glorious.

To contribute; if I'm concentrating on making progress, I frown. Lots. So much so that I have to physically remind myself to not to do it. Then when I stop frowning I instantly relax. Muppet wobble

A habit I've picked up over last 12 months....I try to drive economically. Use higher gears, try not to use full throttle, less time on the brakes.

Argh, what's happed to me??? I feel so ashamed.

use the whole length of motorway slip road, go right to the end and merge just before hard shoulder starts.

I understand some 2.0ltr TDCi engines have what Ford call "Transient Overboost". Under certain conditions dictated by the ECU when at full throttle you get a bit more turbo boost than normal for a short period.

Agreed! Cats eyes game all the way to work, theres a good bend you can go from OS Lane to NS Lane and miss them and make it look all smooth biggrin

I dislike hitting the cats eyes though, it annoys me.

When I had my Clio 182 FF, I used to play "cruise-control chicken". You'd take a windy b-road, set the cruise control at a "challenging" speed, and see how long you can go before you wimp out and touch the break or clutch to make it round a bend. Bit silly, but it actually helped me realise how important a dab of the breaks mid corner can upset the balance of the car and made me drive a bit smoother afterwards when pressing on!

My weird habit which is slightly OCD, the stereo always HAS to be set to an even volume!
