Windscreen washer nozzle

Tell me just how easy this is to replace

Piece of cake Chris, I have just had to do mine as it failed it's MOT on it. first remove the glove box then thread your hand up behind the dash by following the washer tubing to the nozzle itself, the hardest part was undoing the nut that holds the nozzle in, a stubby spanner did the trick ok, get a replacement (£2.49 from Halfords) and bob's your uncle, you will need as assistant to hold the new nozzle still while you furtle around under the dash tightening the nut up that holds the new one in place, about 1 hour should do it, good luck.

Thanks Tony - at least it sounds possible - I thought I may have to take the dash out
I think mine will be slightly different routing for the pipe as my washer bottle is in the boot and runs down the drivers side of the car - but there is some slack so I'm sure if I use enough swearwords I'll manage it.

Thats a winter job Norman - the nozzle is £2.49 from Halfords and looks identical to the original so that will do for now.

What an utter fatherless job this was. There was no way I could get at it from behind the glovebox - I ended up dropping the steering column and taking the dash out.
After removing a couple of heater pipes I managed to do it - my arm has nearly stopped bleeding now.

Need to finish off bolting dash back it but we are there now.

Well done chris, sorry if I got your hopes up with claims of how easy it was, all I can think of is the v8 is different to the v6 in some way

The problem I had on the passenger side above the glovebox was the wiper motor and linkage in the way - the linkage was still there on the drivers side but no motor in the way.

Amazing such a small job could be so difficult. The heater blower unit takes up a lot more room that I realised too.
I guess in production the nozzle and pipe much were fitted pretty early on then the entire dash was fitted.
