I have been lusting after that and the other 6 series they have as well. There is/was also a lovely M5 there last time I looked....

I hear them calling to me every time I run past... frown

Lordy, no experience here (other than an E34, which hardly counts), but that is sublime, after an independent mechanic check I'd be reaching for my wallet.

In true PH style, GET IT BOUGHT!

I hear they rust well, particularly front fenders (inner).

Could try a specialist (E24) 6 Series forum, or the BMW category here on PH for more specific advice.

ETAHere is a good guide

They've also got a straight and tidy looking E34 M5 up for 3.5 too.....however the insurance is too much to justify it as a toy frown

Very tempted to have a look at the '6 though....looks very sweet.

E34 M5's are really nice, but can cost ££££ in maintenance, especially if you buy a bad one.

My wife has an E34 525i Sport - not quite an M5 but with 192bhp it's brisk enough.

And with my pending redundancy we may well have to sell.... frown
