Boardman Team Carbon price increase
Discussion
Went into Halfords on Friday to order one (wanted a new bike for a triathlon) and also ask about any newer model releases.
Didnt order one when i found out it has gone up £200, probably due to the Tour.
When i queried this with the assistant, we looked on their ordering system to find that 2009/10 bikes are £1199 but 2011 bikes (available to order from August) are £999!
So they may be trying to get some extra profit before replacing it.
I will be getting some new wheels and waiting for the new one.

Also mentioned here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... the other day.
The way these things normally work is that the price goes up now and is higher for at least 28 days.
The new bike comes out in August and is £1199 and the 2010 bikes are sold off with a 'reduced by 20%' sticker.
Gave mine its first real test yesterday, having been on holiday since I bought it. These are incredible bikes. It climbs like nothing I have ever ridden and is faster than I was prepared to go down the hills. The double tap SRAM gears are bliss to use and at least as slick as the X0/X9s on my MTB. It was very easy to ride a flat section on my route maintaining 22-24mph for 4 miles.
