In the next few weeks there's going to be a lot of tractors and combines moving around the countryside being serviced before harvest so when you're out for a drive please consider around the corner you may find a combine coming the other way.
Don't be like the person this morning who when I was moving my quadtrak ignored the convoy vehicle thundered around the corner and drove into the hedge because he didn't think the wide vehicle sign and flashing lights meant anything.

The way the weather went earlier this year the crops aren't on time in a lot of areas so consequently there's going to be a lot more traffic rushing once the crops are ready to make up for the delay

Thanks for reading smile

Good point well made. I almost crashed a few years back because my head failed to compute that a Landrover towing a header round a tight b-road meant a combine probably wasn't far behind eek.

Ah that would explain my annual drunken pub discussion with my farming mates about building a twin V12 jag powered tractor puller. It's obviously the time of year when farming chat turns to oily bits.

No no no, this is PH; half the posters here would object to tractors (or cyclists or horses or runners or walkers etc etc) blocking their favourite country lanes wink

Take care out there all.

Point, you just have drowning pools, or big butch lesbians, running alongside your roads by the side you your tracks up there. Come south young man, here in north Suffolk we have plenty, and plenty of nice golden wheat to be harvested!

TOP POST Silent1.

Did you complete their humiliation by offering to tow them out?

I actually fell out of my seat laughing whilst he sheepishly reversed down the road back to the range rover that was opposite a layby for this reason.
