Where to sell bike

I have an old Guerciotti racing bike i'm looking to sell, where would be the best place to advertise it. I'd like to think i could get back what i paid for it as it's in good clean condition.

Any pics, details of spec? If it's vintage steel with period components then e-bay with lots of pics and good description would be the best place. Some more info/pics you might shift it on here.

Ebay is a strange place...

Ive got my 4 month old hybrid on there for over £100 less than the cheapest retailer, 15 people watching but not 1 bid.

Yet in the last few days Ive seen 2 road bikes over 3 years old go for just less than retail today.
I guess people get into bidding wars and cant be asked to search out their value.

It may cost a few quid, but stick it on there, reserve set and leave it. If you want a certain amount then Buy it now might be the best way. Unless youre happy with 99p...

There is a bike section in the classifieds on pistonheads, maybe try there?

Try the classifieds section on Bikeradar.com . I've recently sold a mountain bike and a set of wheels on there and both went within a couple of days.

There is a very active marketplace on www.retrobike.com (could be .co.uk?), both MTB and road bike sections, I think you'd probably get a good bit of interest from that site.

A friend of mine sold his old tour of britain bike in a bike magazine, i might try that.
