Just received my new set of AVOs and springs (thanks Joolz) and hope to fit them this weekend.

I have a fairly good idea on what I need to do but wonder if anyone has any advice/tips on fitting them.

High Matt

Can't help with the advice on fitting, but the ride on mine is wonderful!

Just do a search on avos in TVR (all) and there is plenty of help already there.

Hopefully someone else can jump in here.

I'll be honest, I couldn't tell you.

I think Joolz set it and well you know, Joolz knows best and my view is,
if ain't broke..don't fix it!

I have 350lb 9" long on the front and 325lb 10" long on the rear.

The Avo dampers are set to 14 clicks front and 10 clicks rear.

Car feels great!

Thanks to Joolz for the springs.

Cheers Craig,

Got the rears on and it already feels miles better Should get the fronts on tomorrow so will let you all know how it feels then

Is that 14 clicks off soft or 14 clicks off hard by the way?

Also, anyone know where I can get a c spanner for setting the ride height?

Ho Joo,

The c spanner would be great if you have one you could send. I tried Halfords yesterday but I think we got stuck at the spanner bit

Will give you a call a bit later to give you some money!!

14 clicks from the softest setting going clockwise.
So that should be 8 clicks from the hardest setting as they have 22 settings.

I work just out side Newbury so if you want a loan of my 'C' spanner than your more than welcome to meet up!

Thanks for the offer but I should have the spanner from joolz in the next few days, and it may take me that long to get the fronts on!!!!

they went in the post today .. one pair stiffer rear springs and c spanner.
Byt he way .. on the road SOFTER is defo the way to go on damping .. run the softest setting you cna that gets you the handling you desire with ride comfort and lack of bottoming out .. that should be alot softer than 14 clicks ...byt then they're normally getting a bit harsh.

I also got springs from Joolz - 400lb 8" up front, and 350 9"'s at the rear - I'm currently running 12 clicks from fully soft on the front, and 10 from soft at the rear.......ride is great, and handling is now superb.

I've also removed the rear anti roll bar, gives much better traction out of roundabouts

Just got back from a test burn following fitting of the front dampers and what a HUGE difference!!.
Im running soft springs on the rear at the moment but the car doesnt squat anywhere near as much as with the standard setup. Corners and bumpy roads are also way better.

Joolz, how the hell did you manage to set my new dampers at exactly the same ride height as my car was before? lucky guess or sheer skill

As for the rear anti roll bar, do I have to remove it completley or can I just disconnect the tie rod that links to the lower wishbones?

You can do either, disconnect the tie-rods first, go for a drive and see if you like it or not - then if you want to, remove it completely.....its only 4 nuts

Don't know about cerbs but £450 ish without fitting/setting up seems about the going rate for all four corners with AVO's for other Tivs. So IMHO .

It depends if your talking about dampers and springs but either way I would speak to Joolz of joospeed. Prices on his website @ www.joospeed.net

I didnt find anyone selling Avos cheaper that Joolz but the most valuable thing is the advice that you get when you buy them from a chap that has set up more than his fair share of cerbs in the past.
