NZ-Uk Who with?

Looking at coming back tot he UK for a visit in September, kinda short notice (family illness).

Looks like Emirates asre the cheapest (3 legs Chch->Auckland-Dubai-LHR) and fly a A380 from Dubai into UK?

Have flew them before 7-8 years ago was OK but what are they like now?

Would prefer SA (also fly an A380 on the Uk leg) but not sure they have the dates I want.

Hate BA, quantas fly via Aus which is a pain on the way back. Dont want to go via USA.

Ak sounds like Emirates have removed the footrest from their seats and squoze another seat on the 777's?

Any other decent options?

I've flown Emirates on the A380, and it is fantastic. Can't comment on any others, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I'm actually doing Dubai to Auckland in a few weeks and will be looking for the Emirates A380.

I have done the trip every Christmas for teh last 4 years and would say Signapore a leagues ahead of the rest. The service etc is great and the food is fine.

777 from Auckland to Signapore then A380 to Heathrow. Have never had a problem with them and did a quick flight with Emerates to Sydney and back (from Auckland) and was not massively impressed.

Emirates have removed the foot rests which has pissed me off. Not healthy.
