I'm thinking of getting a new one and see it is a VW/Audi part; the Chim pages list it as part no 443121321 but no ref to what it is off which is useful for many spares websites so does anyone know what its off?

You need to get the right one.. try Clever Trevor...
The one you want is a 1 bar with dual valves...
The VW / Audi ones tend to be 1.3 bar and one 1 valve....

Hi Jimed,

I think that you will find it was fitted too 1988 - 1992 MK2 VW Golf gti.

If you buy it direct from VW you should save a few quid!

The last Audi one I got was about £9 + VAT from memory. Don't leave them on the exhaust manifold!!

Presumably if I go to VW/Audi and get the 443121321 part number it is correct then in terms of the 1 bar etc pressure??

I see from the internet that there are plenty of places in China, etc. selling the caps so not sure about the quality/opening temp, etc. for those - in view of which I decided to go for the VW original part so ordered via local VW dealer. Not stocked but ordered yesterday (before 3pm) and was there by 9am today so decent service at £12.60 incl VAT. Suspect the old one may still be OK but it is several years old so worth a new one in case - the old one is in the boot as a spare for when I leave the new one on the cats ...

Nearly but no banana...GSF part number is actually 174VG0130 (people in GSF were being helpful) - I've just bought one and it looks identical to the photo on the Clever Trevor website. Price is even cheaper at £2.50(!). Fitment says "AV8 all" on the GSF website but I don't know exactly what that means.
