Win A VIP Trip To Rally Spain

PH offers you the chance to see the Spanish WRC round courtesy of Castrol Driver Rankings

Most of the time, working on PH is pretty darn brilliant. But just occasionally we find that there are times when we wish we didn’t. And this is one of them, because we aren’t allowed to enter the latest PH competition.

Up for grabs is a chance for you and a friend/partner/estranged brother to win an all-expenses paid VIP trip to the Spanish round of the WRC in October.

The (oh-so) lucky winners will be whisked off to Rally Spain on Friday 22nd October for the penultimate round of the WRC. There, you’ll get the chance to watch the world’s finest ‘hands’ fling their cars across the Catalonian countryside, and to sample all the comforts and luxuries of the BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team VIP hospitality service.

Okay, so it’s not ‘real’ rallying in the way that sitting on a hiking stool in a misty, muddy Welsh forest whilst wearing a bobble hat and waiting for your feet to go numb is but, frankly, it does sound rather more pleasant.

It sounds especially pleasant when you consider that the trip includes:

  • Two days of on-stage spectating (ferried to and from stage and hotel by VIP shuttle)
  • A tour of the service area and team garage
  • All the hospitality food you can eat (within reason, we suppose)
  • Two nights accommodation, flights and transfers

And if Messrs Latvala and Hirvonen do well, you can register your appreciation of their performance (and that of any other driver) on Castrol's ingenious driver rankings website, which rates more than 2000 professional racers and rallyists in the most definitive and objective online ranking system yet devised.

To be in with a chance of winning this spectacular prize you need to get your Mystic Meg hat on and predict how many WRC and F1 drivers combined will be in the Castrol Driver Rankings top 10 on 16 August.

Send your answer via e-mail to competitions@pistonheads.com with the subject line Castrol Driver Rankings Rally Spain competition.

In your e-mail you'll also need to tell us your home address and a contact telephone number so we can get hold of you if you win. You will also need to be over 18 years old, and (of course) be free on 22nd, 23rd and 24th October 2010.

The competition ends at midnight on 15 August and the winner will be plucked from the PH virtual reality sombrero on Monday 16 August - the winner will be notified within seven days of the closing date. Best of luck!

@Pistonheads - I'd be careful that you don't just get spammed. I could quite easily setup something to repeatedly send the same email to you every 10 secs (or whatever).

Doesn't really seem fair to allow multiple entries... but if you insist wink

+1

Could do this in under 5 minutes and send thousands (if not tens of thousands) of entries per minute.

So if I only enter once I'm going to be at a massive disadvantage, but if I enter 10 million times I'm going to be a cock.

Dilemma

The idea is to predict a number of F1 and WRC drivers in the top ten on the list on August 16th.

The competition closes at midnight on August 15th.

Why have you not waited until 23:55 on August 15th to make your prediction? (assuming that to win, your answer has to actually count for something?)
