Company car tax... hows it work?

Just started a new job and need some advise regarding company car taxing.
My last job i had a Vauxhall Vectra CDTi 150 Sri and a fuel car (no other car options). I had to pay back for any private milage.
The new job i have started, i get a choice of cars and the same fuel card system as last job. Currently in a 57 plate Mazda 6 untill its 3yrs old but i have been told to look for another car to replace it for the next 3 yrs.
On the list are;-
Mazda 6 TS
Vaux. Insignia
Toyota Prius
Toyota Avensis
VW Passat
And quite a few others..... All diesel except the Prius.
All in the £20 - £25K bracket
My questions......
When i choose my car, how does the taxing work?
Id like a decent car/spec but not if im going to be ripped off with TAX.
