A quick hello from me.
I have a '94 roadster that I bought after selling my Puma and its a whole load of green and tan fun.Just got to find a replacement for the nasty wheels on it at the mo.

The 3300hp is a GM locomotive.

Yup. My car came with some jank after markets, which were oversized. The '5 handles much better since going back to standard sized wheels.

Picked up some 14 inch splt rims made by Black Racing . It might be me but the car feels lighter, more nimble,and it didn't take much to unstick it.
Tyres will do for now .Who makes a decent tyre in this size?

lighter wheels do make a noticeable difference on the 5

unfortunately i can't help with the tyres, i never found any decent road tyres in 14", at least not at a sensible price - it's one of the main reasons i changed to 15.

Assuming the wheels are the standard width and you are after 185/60/14. I'm a fan of the Dunlop Sport Fast Response. I got 4 of those fitted for £200. But I may have got a small discount.

I actually prefer them to the Goodyear F1 GSD2 they replaced. And which can be hard to get hold of.

I think some people have fitted a slightly wider 195/55/14 and got Toyo T1Rs.

You can get the R888 in 185/60/14 if you want though.

I can never decide what to do with my 2nd set of wheels. Winter tyres, or track tyres....

Yes, but I find them a bit aggressive for road driving. If you hit a puddle you skate rather than clear the standing water. The new R1Rs look like a good halfway between the R888 and T1R.

Ok thanks for the heads up on those tyres.
Now that I've got the Roadster I avoid my normal m25/A21 route to work in favour of the scenic route.
Should have got one years ago.
