BIG DAY ON THURSDAY!

Hi all,
Just a very quick hello to you all. I have simply jumped accross from the T350c buch, after selling my car, which now is being loved and cared for by Clive.F.
Reason for the sale of my very muched loved T350c was due to finances, and I was looking for a £10,000 Griff. After much travelling, phones calls and bidding I hopefully take delivery of a Griff 500, this Thursday.
Only problem is I ignored my £10,000 budget and have spent over double that! F---k it, you only live once. If I have upset any Griff owners in the process of my search, I apologise, but I believe I was honest with all and did not abuse not one car that I viewed. Also thanking all who took the time to email pictures over etc, wishing you all good luck with the sale of your Griffs.
I will hopefully see you all @ the Growl, subject to weather.
I am in desperate need of a roof bag for the targa roof, If thats what it's called. Has anyone got one for sale or does anyone know were I can purchase one from.
I hope the Griff does not dissapoint!

I thought it would be a little rude to post pictures as the car does not belong to me until Thursday. I still have to pay for it.!!!!!!
But the real reason I haven't posted any pictures is that I do not have a clue how to do it. I will try my best over the weekend if my partner has not killed me by then, as she is not a Griff Girl!

Yes I know I have posted twice likle a pratt.

I can however pick open 95% of garage door locks in under 4 seconds. So make shure your Griff's are locked up safe. I will be offering some security advice on garage door locks @ the Growl, if I can make it.

I'm confused. You sold a T350 for reasons of finance. Wanted to downgrade and buy a £10k Griff. Instead you bought a £20k Griff?
I don't know what pleasure a £20k Griff could give more than a £10k one but my initial thought would be less of one. That's the problem with the really nice examples at serious money. You just can't thrash them and treat them a bit tough like you can a half as expensive one. But most of all I don't think had I the choice I would buy a Griff over a T350 if it were with a £20k price tag. Maybe a £12k Griff could be a better deal than a £12k T350 but overall surely a T350 has to be a better TVR than a Griff? That said, I personally would find it very hard to change my Griff for a T350 when one has a roof that comes off and the other doesn't. Rock and a hard place. £20k on a Griff would be a no brainer for me though. I'd be interested to hear your reasoning though. Welcome to Griff ownership (if you do). to try and answer squid`s question a little though, chris has bought a rather special car, it would need to be at that price
but its better than brand new from what he`s told me,full body off restoration, blue printed and balanced engine ect, its had very serious money spent on it and will be worth having a look at it at the growl.

Blue with a cream interior by chance ? Resides in Buckinghamshire ? to try and answer squid`s question a little though, chris has bought a rather special car, it would need to be at that price

one good reason speed 6 is not as reliable as V8 and also doesn,t hit the wallet as much V8, V8 nicer to drive, sounds better roof comes off more street cred T350 better no way.I don't know what pleasure a £20k Griff could give more than a £10k one but my initial thought would be less of one. I'm with most . . . I'd have a T350T, removable roof panels, better handling, more modern car.
I was asked the other if I had £50k to spend on a car what would it be . . . I'm most likely to buy a very late T350T in the right colour combo and then either have the S6 removed completley for a V8 or have one of the new engine specs put in there in it's place, such as the 4.5 etc . . I'd still have some change left to make it handle like a Sagaris as well . .
I'm more tempted by the V8 option. I haven't liked the S6 cars I've driven or the been a passenger in, I don't like the induction noise and compared to a lazy V8 it's not my kinda deal . ..

I'm sure one of the motivating factors was the servicing/ongoing costs of a Griff compared to one of the new fangled T cars. If I could justify maybe double the running costs I'd certainly consider one of the newer TVRs but I can't so I won't. Yet. One day.

I just about had speed 6 money to spend, but the old skool in me was only ever going to go for the dirty great V8. I like the history, characteristics and especially the sound of the V8 (the more affordable running costs were only a bonus in the decision). I do however love the shape of the T350 and the Sag. The sag has to be about the most brutal looking car for under £40k.
