TVR Dealer or Specialist?
Discussion
My Tuscan is due for it's 12 month service. Does anyone have any views on whether I should stick to a TVR dealer or use a specialist - is there any benefit(such as warranty) by sticking to the dealer? The car is 2001 so long out of warranty as far as I know...........
It's been over 12 months since the last service, so this will be the '18,000' mile service even though it has only done 14,000.
The reason for the question is easy : local dealer in S.Wales wants £580 + VAT , specialst in South West England is quoting around half that price.

I have been based in various locations from S.Wales, Cheshire and now London, but go to TVR Power in Coventry for servicing, and even more so now I have the Tuscan.
I feel they are more focused in getting it right for the customer, a great deal more than dealers and slightly more than specialists.
All imho.

How far are you from APM? .. spoke to Andy from there on the phone a few weeks ago, he sounds a great chap .. if you're thinking indie he's as good as they come on SP6 cars i think .. ceratinly seems to get stuff done with the factory too from what we read here.. so I say either TVR Power (that's another recommendation for them then) .. or APM.
i would have to totally agree that tvr power really are the biz.there is no bulls**t like at some dealers and they are straight down the line.
i took my tuscan to a reputable dealer when i had a problem with the engine and got severly ripped off.took it to power on a recomendation and they sorted it in under an hour.(was only a rattly chain)
i wouldn't take my car anywhere else ever again.
