Le Mans 2010 attendance?

Hi everyone

Does anyone know how many people were at the 24hr race and Classic this year? While there seemed a lot at the Classic, it was still very easy to get around and it was a pleasure to be able to drive to Arnage from Karting Nord without being stuck in traffic for ages!

Seem to recall the figure for 2010 was just over 238,000.

Just over 103,000 at the classic. Previous years were...
2002 30,000
2004 50,000
2006 70,000
2008 82,000

The classic felt just right to me this year, albeit my first year.........fingers crossed we aint bigged it up too much on here and shot our selves in the foot for 2012

Thanks guys. I think the Classic is bound to increase in popularity but hopefully it'll be a very long time, if ever, before it gets the huge numbers of people the 24hr does.

Patrick Peter, the bod who organised it, seemed quite keen to keep the numbers round about where they are now when he was interviewed in Motors TV.

That's fine by me, but will be interesting to see whether it ends up being a self-regulating limit or if they need to actively do things to keep the numbers in check.

I did both this year and it was easier to get around at the classic, i was surprise that the numbers at the classic were that high, i felt that they were little changed from 2 years ago, but did notice a large increase in French classic cars this year
