Drivers seat keeps slipping on the ratchet

My drivers seat has a nasty habit of slipping on the ratchet on the right hand side and making the seat feel twisted, any ideas, cable, warrantee or known fault?

Sam, my seat was loose also because something had snapped inside. I put in a warranty claim and expected a new seat. Eventually a factory fix repaired the existing seat but I'm not sure what they did. Might be worth a call to GM.

I think this is the information you need Sam. It sounds like you have the same problem even though yours is an '03. It is a fairly common problem and it seems a routine fix often done in the US. Hope you have a good reason to go to Manchester !

Not Sure? Mine seems to be on the manual rake tilt bit as if it’s the teeth, like on a handbrake are not locked in properly on the right hand side.
It slipped for the first time on me yesterday when I pushed back into the seat, sometimes when the seat draws back automatically the back is lifted up when its fully back and then when it draws forward into the memory position its like the back part of the seat has moved up a notch or isn’t locked into its teeth slot.
