Make sure you go for one with TT hoops,
check the drivetrain, its not got quattro so only the rear to check.
make sure you go for the best condition (A1) you can find, not an A3 or A4 grade.
Lowering makes a difference as its not mean't to go on Allroad(s) and makes it g-R8 on B roads,
the tops can leak, as its a Cabriolet not a Coupe, but are cheap to replace.
they arn't the quickest but rev cleanly and can top 80-90-100 mph+
i love mine, join the clan enjoy driving like an RS 2.

p.s. there is an RS version, but no 'S line'.

In that price range I would be looking at a Mk.2 1.8.

Be fussy, there are loads around. Don't worry about miles, go for one with a good history and check for rust on the sills.

Imports are better spec but more expensive to insure.

Also, if you look at the stickies on the top of the forum, there is a buying FAQ.
