Getting around London/Where to stay?
Discussion
The family's talking about spending a week or so over in England at the start of August. Probably to London, and probably flying into Heathrow.. Where's good to stay in the city? Or is it worth thinking about staying a bit out of the centre?
I want to do a bit of car spotting whilst i'm there, and i intend to head up to Bedford and do the Palmersport day at the Autodrome. My Dad had talked about heading down to Kent too. What would be the best way to get around, I dont think my parents would be too keen on doing alot of driving..
Any nice hotels around London, Bedford, or Kent?

Lots of nice hotels, BUT, you've left it a bit late all the best value will have been snapped up as it is peak tourist season. Suggest you try Late Rooms site or Hotels.com and then I'd be able to give you a steer on potential choices. As to getting around an all zones weekly travel card for all London Transport is by far the most economic option but if you want to go outside London to somewhere not served by a railway station (Such as the Palmer venue in Bedfordshire) then a hire car is the only option.
