Did anyone see this at the weekend? if so what are your thoughts regarding the end of the race? Do we think that Carl Edwards needs to be banned or was it just hard racing?

In all fairness Brad did the same thing at the spring Talladega race in the Sprint Cup last year to win so I don't see this as much of a problem, just your typical rivalry between 2 fairly hot headed drivers!

Ah I didn't see that one, I just thought it was a stupid idea given how narrow the track was at that point. I have not been following NASCAR as long as some people but the fact that he was almost proud of that move just didn't sit well with me.

It's probably more in the poetic justice bucket like Webber at Silverstone. Though his move on Brad at Atlanta this year was just a dick move.

I'd have been happier if there hadn't been a massive shunt as a result. If he'd just knocked him off the track then I don't see a problem as the other bloke started it.

Ehh in the Nationwide series there's always a good chance of The Big One, just it doesn't usually happen at the finish line hehe

Must say it troubles me that NASCAR don't seem to mind this whole tit for tat thing that's going on between Edwards and Keselowski. We've had the crash at Talledega, then Atlanta, now this. How long before someone else gets properly hurt in the aftermath of one of these? Keselowski took some pretty big hits as he went back across the track, and a whole bunch of people ended up with wrecked cars through no fault of their own. I can accept leaning on someone in a corner or maybe a little bump and run move, but turning the guy into the wall right in front of the whole field is moronic.

According to twitter both Edwards and Crashalotski are on probation until Dec 31st, Edwards and Roush loose points and Edwards gets a 25k fine.

It needs nipping in the bud now before something serious and irreversible happens.

No comparison, at Talladega Carl came down to block when there was already an overlap, which at a plate race will see you turned or on your roof. At Gateway Carl deliberately nerfed Brad on the rear corner to send him into the wall.

No fault in the first instance, it was a product of how plate racing works. Very much a fault in the second.

So sad

It's come to a point where the 'Let 'em have it, sort it out' clearly isn't good for the sport.

NASCAR needs to step in at some point because Brad and Carl or some innocent bystander(s) will become a sad statistic.

The turning over isn't a feature of the plate, it's a feature of the wing they ran until Martinsville in which the wing acts completely in reverse and in fact generates lift when the car is backwards.

Firstly, I stand corrected, NASCAR has stepped in put both drivers on probation.

You clearly don't know your history

Cars have gone airborne with the blade spoiler

I've even seen stock cars leap into the air on short tracks.
