During my recent headlight conversion carried out by www.ewelmecoachworks.com I had the guys down there take some stage by stage pictures. These pictures are posted here for your reference. I hope this post is informative and helps to answer some questions...had this been done before I had my conversion done, it would have helped me.

Firstly the bonnet is removed, along with the front wheels. (The headlight wiring is accessed via a removable panel within the front of the wheel arch). The wiring is then disconnected and the existing headlight pods are removed.

The holes in the wings are then 'dressed' and prepared to take the new pods, with some grinding away of the existing paintwork to allow the new fibreglass to bond with the old. Fibreglassing the new pods into place adds strength and prevents cracking between the wing and the new pods.

Once the fibreglass has cured, some final preparation work is carried out. Body filler is used to fill any tiny imperfections and sanded down ready for the first coats of primer.
