I am taking my son and four of his mates to Amsterdam for a few days next week for his 21st birthday. Does anybody have any ideas for 'cool stuff' to do, eg water parks, amusement parks etc on our return journey to Calais

just got back.

indoor karting over there is cheap, 7 of us went sunday night, there is one on 4 stories in delft and one in an industrial estate on the outskirts of the dam.

30 ish euros for 2x "16 minuite" sessions (felt alot longer)

other than that, enjoy the cafe culture, and avoid the "tourist" cafes, head to 'dam square and find a cafe called aba something with is down an alley.

hth.

If the weather is nice then take the train to Den Haag and Scheveningen beach. 21 year old lads will be quite happy there sipping a beer and looking at the "scenery". Also, and not too far from Amsterdam, is Walibi World. I took my neice's when I lived in Holland and they really enjoyed themselves on the roller coasters and water rides.

no prob, will get the full cafe name tomorro. Also don't let the lads eat any "space cakes" or "space shakes" bad news indeed.

Die Efteling or Toverland are two themeparks - not saying they are cool though, it is Holland after all.

Just got back from Den Haag and Scheveningen, the beach is currently lined with more bars than I've ever seen. They will all be dismantled come October and re-erected next year, amazing. There is a bungee crane on the end of the pier now!
