I've got a TVR Chimaera with a few chips and scratches. I'd like a decent blowover in the same colour. Any idea what sort of money I'm looking at?

Cheers.

Bonnet, front bumper?
If so, then blowing into the wings as well, should set you back about £400 ish.

Thanks for that. Thing is, there are bits all over, so I'll be needing the whole car done frown ...

Yup. Unless this isn't the proper way to do it...?

It would also depend on how deep the chips are in general. If they're through to the gelcoat I'd wager most places would recommend a complete strip-back, which would cost a fair bit more. However, I'm no expert!

Full 2K respray on my mk2 Escort was in the region of £2500 IIRC.

Ultimately it depends on what quality of job you are looking for.
The realistic cost for any halfway decent professional job can range anywhere between about £1500 & £4000 depending on what you want from the work (factory style finish or better) & how much preparation is involved in getting the body to a position that it can be painted with the confidence that there are no remaining issues that will show once painted (i.e will it need completely priming or can this be done in a 'localised' way............will one application of primer be enough to remove any surface issues etc).
If it is markedly lower than the above figures then be VERY suspicious; materials & consumables alone for a good quality job would be no less than £500.
Painting over existing paint is not necessarily a bad thing as long as the existing paintwork can be ascertained as sound.
Bottom line is do your research beforehand on whoever you decide or intend to entrust your car to.
Best wishes, Al.

Alsa is spot on there, the only thing I would add is I think he's a bit cheap on materials. You can easily spend £500 on a gallon of quality lacquer...
