Going to the Adelphi to see this on Saturday there seems to be a variety of mixed reviews. Watched Phantom of the Opera twice and was thoroughly engrossed/entertained. Has anyone here been to see this yet and if so what was your verdict?

The Mrs and I went to see this earlier this year, the special effects are absolutely mind blowing and it’s like watching a film. I enjoyed the story more than Phantom but didn’t think the songs we’re quite as good.

Should be renamed "Andrew Webber Never Dies starring Wishful Thinking and Grim Determination".

Colleague at work saw it and renamed it ' Paint never dries'.
Not good apparently.

I saw this last night actually, and really enjoyed it! Some of the effects are really quite impressive, and I'm not really a huge fan of musicals usually but I thought it was great.

Well, I really enjoyed it, dark, gothic and alluring, as already said the electronics, light show outstanding. Certainly the best Webber has done since Phantom in my opinion and the last scene a bit violent for a stage show perhaps. Back to being cold at Spa at least it's not raining at the moment.
