I bought the first 3R I drove, so I don't have a comparrison with regards to PULLING POWER at maximum revs. Engine was not happy, so just had a service & health check at MoleValley (both LAMBDA SENSORS + MELTING FUSEBOX + FULL DIAGNOSTICS - NOT CHEAP), they now say all is OK ....... runs quite sweetly, but I think she's not as fast quoted figures. I've been told the rev limiter is set at 7,500 but mine pulls well up to 6,000 then drops off dramatically, so there's no point revving to over 6,000. Am I missing out on the upper rev range ?????? Is something still amiss ????

it would need to be modified to rev past 7000rpm... as std its all over by 6500rpm (peak at 6000rpm I think) and little point hanging it past that.

Saying that if you stick some stiffer valve springs in and change the cam timing a little remap will transform your car into a 7000rpm monster smile... after you have fitted a decent exhaust and upgraded the fuel pump lol

Do they actually have a rev limiter? If so what is it set to?

I know the rev limiter doesnt go beyond 7000rpm as std but for some reason I think it was set at 6800rpm, its done by the ecu so Yellowshed will be able to tell us for certain... whatever I never got anywere near the rev limiter when the engine was standard as it just doesnt want to rev past 6500rpm
