Is there any way I could carry someone elses baggage onto my flight out to Asia? Someone wants me to take out his DJ decks which he left here which I would happily do. However, there is a niggling thought in the back of my head about the possibility of say another friend of his stowing drugs underneath a battery cover or something. I'm 99.9% positive that it wouldn't be so, but I can't help but worry at the thought of being banged up for life in Thailand.

So is there anyway I can carry it on, but have it noted as a courier package or something? How do people do it when they get those cheap flights through a courier, but have to carry a package onboard... is there a special process that can be done?

You either take the risk and claim it as your own or you get your chum to organise Fedex or the like who will take it for you fully insured.

I doubt theres anyway which you can do what you are hoping to do.

Personally if there was ny doubt I'd be leaving it where it is or asking HIM to organise Fedex etc.

^^ get him to post them Fedex or whatever. Never, EVER take someone else luggage onto a flight, especially in that part of the world.

Just don't!

We carries a couple of small bags for a guy to Le Mans last week as he didnt have enough room in his Healey. Put them on the back seat of my car, not even thinking about it, got stopped at Portsmouth before getting on the ferry, and had the car searched.
They did the whole x ray procedure to see whether there were any naughties in the bags...
Then it crossed my mind....eventually !

It's always a nice moment when you are landing in Malaysia and they say that the penalty for importing drugs is death.

Great advice here from everyone. You'd have to be insane to do it.

He's pulling your plonker, he's priced up a courier and found it costs more than the decks are worth.

If you take them, the compensation from the airline will be limited to sweet FA when they get damaged (not if, when !)

Tell him to buy some out there.
Cheaper than Fedex.
