Growl - proper ale

I'm trying to get a barrel or two in at the hotel but they want to charge for any that is left - bit rich making a profit on what they sell and charging me for the rest. I'm still waiting a price on this so will make a call as we've drunk 2 barrels at eth WHite Horse before so not too much risk.
Who is drinking real ale (not sure what yet if it comes off) so I can gauge how much we'll get through before deciding? May just get some in anyway!!
Otherwise its Worthingtons or somet, or fizzy stuff.

Usually a lumpy cloudy cider drinker but hey, in for a penny in for a pound !! A nice real ale is always a great alternative.

I've got a barrel of Purity Gold which is a very local brewer with a very good reputation, although they haven't confirmed a cost of what is left although I don't think there will be any.
Will confirm if available Friday.

Don't forget, I run a pub in my spare time, so I can tell you all about this.
(I do have a proper job as well)

I would think that they would sell a 9 gallon cask easy (72 pints) this is the smallest cask size.

The problem is the cask has to be stillaged and vented 3 days before serving it, once its vented, the barrel cannot be moved until its empty.

So basically at the end of the weekend, whatever's left, someone has to drink it, or it gets thrown away as once the barrel is lifted, all the sediment gets mixed in and the beer is then waste.

by the way, a 9g cask of decent ale is about £80 - £90 to buy.

How did I miss this? Yep. 3-4 pints Friday aft, 1 or 2 pre curry, 4-5 post curry. Saturday 3-5 during day then hog roast, maybe 4? Put me down for 20 pints. Any less and I'll pay for them anyway.
