Saturday 7th August, it's the annual Bentley Drivers Club race meeting at Silverstone.
I will be going down there on Friday 6th, and camping over, with Team Phantom, probably drinking too much and going out for a curry in Towcester.
This is a really, Really, REALLY brilliant event, for any petrolhead, Bentley fan or not. There are about a dozen races on the Saturday, Vintage/Derby/Crewe Bentley's, as well as other marques such as Morgan and Aston Martin and others.
And boy do these guys race. Team Phantom will be racing with a Turbo R and a Continental GT (with a BMW art car wrap). As well as the usual suspects with MKVI & Derby specials and the evergreen Stanley Mann and Benjafields mob with some fabulous and historically important Vintage cars.
Your company would be most welcome, either on the Saturday, pay at the gate, drive into the infield and park up, access all areas, picnic, beers etc.
Or if you want to camp out on the Friday (there's usually no one about and making payment can prove difficult even if you try to make the effort
) Let me know.
All welcome, whether I know you or not, a bloody fantastic day, believe me
CYA,
Warren.
