I was actually born there but have not been back for eons. Last time maybe ten years ago ate in a fairly good place in my hotel called Patrick Guilbaud. Anywhere for some good fresh oysters??

Ronan, on the road so soon?

When I lived in Dublin, I used to frequent this hotel a bit as the bar was very nice, but we also ate in the restaurant a few times and they had an excellent taster menu!

Bear in mind that this was 3 years ago, before Lou and I moved back to London.

Hope all is well, regards to T,

I ate at a celebratory meal in Browns on St Stephens Green a few years back (hence wasn't paying!) - it was very good.

Chapter 1 is good. If you are used to paying Patrick Guilbaud prices then it will seem cheap in comparsion. For lunch the Cellar Restaurant at the Merrion Hotel, downstairs from Guilbaud, is classy.
