Humax 9200T upgrade

Tried uprating just after Christmas with a Western Digital 500GB drive. The results were mixed. It worked OK when out of standby and would power up from standby one in two attempts under the "old" .21 software. Under the "new" .23 software it needed to be powered off using the switch at the back to recognise the drive so was it was difficult to record things as people kept turning it off!!!

Hence I decided to try the SATA/IDE converter method. A 500GB Seagate "Pipeline" drive was acquired along with the Startech SATA/IDE converter. Result. It works as it did do with the "old" 160GB Seagate IDE drive. Just in time for the next set of GP's when I'm going to be away.
