Regional badge ownership

Has anyone notice any badge trend where ever they travel in the UK or anywhere else you've been?
For instance when I visited the south coast recently, I saw mainly French cars & not to mention a few Fords from the 80's .
In Oxford I mainly see Rovers & Vauxhalls
Could this be to do with main dealer presence or personal taste?

There are a lot of Alfa's in and around Knutsford, which is where Mangoletsi are based. On my commute I usually see around 5 Mito's, 5 159's, and a few GT's.
In and around Ellesmere Port you'll see a lot of Astra's. I assume the staff at the local plant get some good deals on them.

No not really.Dealer networks do influence it, but not entire regions. e.g. there's a Kia dealer in my local town, so a you see a good number of Kia's locally. Which makes sense, as a lot of people will want to buy locally, and few people would travel 100 miles to buy a Kia, where they would for a Lotus or Porsche.
Other examples are factories, Luton used to be popular for Vauxhalls and Dagenham for Fords. This is less of trend these days I suspect. And in reality a lot of the cars you'd see, where likely workers and factory cars rather than regualr customers.

To take this point further, in Oxford I personally see a lot of MINI's and BMW's. But that's most likely due to the MINI factory being there and owned by BMW.In Oxford I mainly see Rovers & Vauxhalls

Lastly it has to be personal taste, if you are interested in certain cars, then you are more likely to notice them more so than cars you are less interested in.
American cars in Manchester - not only the influence of Bauer-Millett, but also a tradition of the things dating back to the war, as Americans would ship their cars in via Liverpool and the Manchester Ship Canal and trade them in for MGs and the like, leaving them on used-car forecourts. As a result, a lot of Manchester used-car dealers got used to servicing and repairing American cars.
Porsches, Aston Martins, Jaguars, Maseratis and Ferraris in Wilmslow - they don't have 'normal' dealers there.
I'd echo the Alfas in the Macclesfield area too - thanks to Mangoletsi.
Plenty of pristine Citroens in South Manchester thanks to Paris Autos too.

On the flip side, you never see Ferraris, Lambos or other 'flash' in Cambridge.
Yet you go to Peterborough and you see them on a regular basis.
Probably because it's all old money that don't feel the need to show off. In the 3 years of working in the city, only seen a California and a 355, no Lambos. Fair few Porsches though.

Or could it be to do with the fact that a huge number of car magazines are based in Peterborough?Yet you go to Peterborough and you see them on a regular basis.
