I notice Canley classic have all sorts of front suspension and brake upgrades targeted at Triumphs which look suitable for Grantura Mk3 through to Vixen/Tuscan type front ends.

Has anyone had any experience of trying any of this kit?

There's a trunionless option in there which looks like it needs the pressed steel lower wishbones not the tubular type.

Any comments anyone?

Cheers,

Neil

Hi

I thought about the trunnionless links but opted for standard new links, stub axles and trunnions, after advice on here re V8 powered cars that happily use them without any problems (so far I'm told!) and due to it being more cost effective.

Do not use the lever arm drop links which (if you cross ref the part numbers) John Upham's site seems to suggest would make suitable ARB links. The Canley links are not suitable.

What are you thinking of trying? I must admit I do rate Canleys and used them for most of the Triumph parts I needed for my recently restored chassis.

Paul.

I'm just wondering will will fit at the moment. I reckon there's a high(ish) chance of porting the Caterham set-up over.

I guess brakes and suspension can be treated seperately but I was wondering if someone had done the hard work for me and found a good swap option.

I've noted now that you can build your own brakes using Wilwood kits which look pretty much suitable for anything but I'm nervous of the upright and trunion option having one snap many years ago on my Vixen.

Cheers,
