Looking to get into some decent TV series - something to watch when I have a few spare minutes every now and again.

I did similar with The Inbetweeners and it's great to just sit down for an hour and relax in front of something like that.

Recommendations on box sets to buy now I've watched all episodes of the above.

Cheers

The West Wing was a triumph IMO.. Great writing, acting and camera work.

If however you are looking for something a bit easier to watch then you cant go wrong with Family Guy

There a good view hours to be getting on with there!

Spaced. One of the best sitcoms ever.

+1 for the West Wing, Band of Brothers is also good, if a little harrowing in places.

The Wire and Sopranos, good shouts. I have watched every episode of Family Guy in existence!

Cheers, should be giving me something to get on with but always open to suggestions.

Seasons 1-4 of Boston Legal (The last series was nothing more than a pre-election Obama love fest advertisment..)

And, although not really a TV series (or is it?) - Wonders of the Solar System

..And I hope Spartacus - Blood and Sand ends up being released as a box set....

I agree. Elmore Leonard is an executive producer which prolly explains that (based on his short story as well).

And for buying?
Sopranos
BSG
Damages

for catching on telly currently, Rev and How Not To Live Your Life are two top sitcoms.

I have to recommend Breaking Bad

You won't find any DVD's though so you'll need to 'acquire' it, it's yet to be aired in the UK.

Another vote for Breaking Bad, but as somebody said earlier, Dexter is well worth a watch as well.

Another vote for Dexter here, my favourite for years.

Spaced is good if you missed it too.

I didn't think much at all of True Blood.

If you don't mind manga things like Death Note are well worth checking out too.
