I presume from your comments you have taken delivery of your new 550. I have mine on order and should be arriving for collection in the next week. Like yourself I was a bit unsure about the wheels but stuck with the seal grey as it was intended to be. What does it look like in the flesh, are you pleased and what production no. did you get supplied with. Hope you are enjoying your motor, the wait is killing me, just hope there is no transporter accidents like on the M25 the other day

Hi Paul
When are you getting yours?
Looks great in the flesh, exhaust sounds fantastic ,car handles fantastic. I got the grey leather option as i didn't want the coco. The number is a bit crap got 440 but hey I expect the low ones have gone to Germany and the US. Were there any 550's on the transporter?

Got Bose & satnav/phone module with mine........what did you request?
Any specific questions feel free, Ill take some pics soon.

Regards

Richard

Hiya mate,

Glad to receive your reply, I went for Grey Leather and Black Hood also mate, wise choice I think in the UK. I think the cocoa is for the Yanks. Spec on mine was Sat Nav and Phone, cruise control and Tracker, stuck with Seal Grey alloys which was a difficult choice, but I think I made the right one.

I went to another dealer Stratstone's of Wilmslow on Friday, not the one supplying mine and they hadn't received any as yet. I don't think there is any in the North yet.... The guy there told me that the Boxsters damaged were standard models and they were due for dealers in Scotland. Not sure how true this is but I would be well gutted if that happenened to mine...:-) Apparently the customers have to wait another 3-4 months for a new one ahhhh

I can't wait for this week, the wait is killing me. Photos would be torturous but enjoyable all the same as yours essentially will look the same as mine.

Nice to meet a fellow Porsche enthusiast, hope you are really enjoying your new purchase. How long do you think you will keep it as the dealer has advised me they would easily fetch 5k over list. Not sure I could part with mine even for that much. Have you had any niggles with it and do you know where it was built (Finland or Germany). With a bit of luck 550 out of 1953 might be winging its way to me as if....

Keep in touch

Paul.
