Hi , I need advice form someone who deals with air con , I bought grand voyager yesterday and the air con didn`t work , went today to charge it ,and the guy said that there are no leaks but the coul only get in 0.765 of gas where it shout take 0.900 in and cannot charge it for me.

The compressor works i tested it.

SO what can be wrong ?

Compressor clutch works but the compressor itself doesnt work ?
Is there a chance of blockage ?
ANyway that the ecu block ac from working (safe mode or something )?

Could be a blockage but there's not many places it could be. It's likely to be the receiver drier as that's the bit that takes all the moisture out of the system. Failing that, it's either the condenser or the heat exchanger. Hopefully it will be the receiver drier as they are usually easily accessible and are relatively cheap whereas the condenser and exchanger will cost you an arm, leg, spleen and both your kidneys.
Not sure where you are but the chaps at Arbor Lane Garage in Winnersh are a dab hand with aircon. Their details are in the SAS directory if you need them.

I guess the clutch on the compressor is engaging, but not pumping. If the compressor was pumping, then he would be able to see by his gauges that the suction will come down and it will cause the system to switch out on Low Pressure, if it was undercharged or a blockage. For the compressor to be asked for and not tripping out, I would look to the compressor is not pumping .

A friend of mine had a Voyager and the air con packed up he was told its a common problem and there is an electrical component (solenoid/ecu dont know) that turns it on and thats failed so he has spent the last 4 years without air con

They said that they couldn`t charge it fully. COmpressor clutch works as it should, off it`s statonary, on it engages and spins.

I checked fue and relay - ok

SO 2 possible items : compressor or dryer :/
