What a very useful man he is!

In GMC court this week on 4 [should have been 7] counts of incorrect autopsy procedure and statements and now 3 times used by the police to muddy the water in avoiding CPS and all this after the Met. Police 'killed' his career in 1991 vowing never to have him near an autopsy again.

Sounds liek he has cut corners in some cases.

If he is discredited surely that would open the way for his evidence to be disregarded in the G20 case.

Although it is interesting he did his post mortem on G20 man before it became public knowledge what happened (I assume) - maybe the other 2 guys were influenced by that...

At best Dr. Patel could be considered lazy but that is maybe too charitable considering his failure to have analysed blood stained body fluids recovered from Mr. Tomlinson, or the failure to mention the severe bruising to Mr. Tomlinsons forehead.

He has for a while been 'first call' pathologist for the Metropolitan Police for a few years now despite his 'track record' of taking what appears the easiest and least contentious route to certification, the primary pathologist [should there be later inquests called for] do have precedent due to have an intact corpse to work on, their report carries huge weight due to that alone.

We are all prone to influence from outside or additional information, it is up to us to judge to what extent this matters, I have found that in modern times there is a tendency to give equal weight to all the twists and turns of a story.

I know this much, if I had bumped someone off and wanted to get away with it and had the number of Dr. Patel [or better still had Dr. Patels card marked] I would be very pleased to see him enter the room on the day of the autopsy.
