You can't go wrong with a Seamaster!
As I said in the thread above (now below after I post) the movement is based on the Valjoux 7750 which is a fine movement and will go on for years!

A great watch the SMP Chrono. Bought mine for my 18th, so will never sell. Only problems I've had in the 8 years that I've owned it, is the stop watch starter button has fallen out twice. Which is a bit of a pain, but great watch all the same. I went for the Ti version which unfortunately scratches a lot easier than the stainless. On the flip side it's lighter.

Some great details on it. The text's lovely, the wavy dial is great the way the texture disappears at certain angles. And the way the circle on the stopwatch counter hand intersects the centres of the subdials always makes me smile.
