As someone with a hair hole, I was a wonderin' what headgear is acceptable whilst driving open top.
At my age a baseball cap feels a bit daft and I'm not ready for a flat cap just yet .
I'm half tempted to wear a bowler.

I have beanies, baseball caps (no big logos) and even brimmed hats (sun hats, rain hats and even fleecy versions) and as a 42 year old with very little hair I'm still happy to wear them all. I'd never wear a bobble or jester hat though. Ok, maybe I would wear a jester hat bu never a flat cap or bowler. One of my beanies even has a flame pattern (ooh, aren't I the modern man!).
Mostly it's a beanie though, or a baseball cap if it's to keep the sun off.

Baseball cap you can get away with, as long as it's a 'grown up' brand.

Adidas/Reebok/Nike are a no-no.

Calloway/any motoring/local sports are acceptable.

I go for a Musto baseball cap, which being a sailing hat has the added advantage of a clip cord at the back so if it blows off your head you don't lose it.

That's a mistake you only make once when sailing, fishing for a hat with a boat hook in a force 5 is not recommended. wink

I have comrade hats for the '5, a great big Cossack style thing for the winter, and Fidel Castro's peaked cap to keep the sun out.
