Cut-n-paste into Mobile PH corrupts certain letters

For example, when pasting from Sky News Mobile on an iPhone:

£ acquires an A umlaut beforehand

' and " are corrupted into three characters, differing for open and close quotes.

Does it do the same on the main site on your phone?

Yes posting copied text that uses the characters mentioned abive on mobile PH will give corrupt characters on the main site.

Thanks for the info, I'll put it on the bugs list and I'll see if I can find a solution the the iPhone cut and pasting "the apple way"...

Extra  added infront of the pound sign, showed up on mobile PH after posting and also shows up on the main site.

There were cars there that the owners would have got more than £2000 in part exchange so it puzzles me why they accepted less on the scrappage scheme. Unless they were monumentally stupid or the car was an unserviced mechanical wreck or broken down needing £1000+ of repairs.

But this is bankrupt Britain where ex Big Brother losing contestants are referred to as celebrities so I'd go with the first option.
